You have a God-given Right to protect and defend yourself, your family and your property
Americans are now suffering wide spread attacks by government agencies failing to respect their Right of self protection with weapons as secured by the 2nd AMENDMENT to the U.S. CONSTITUTION. Your Right to own a gun is inalienable.
Any and all other legislative laws or enactments to the contrary, that are designed to erode, undermine or abate that Right are unlawful, invalid, immoral and an invitation to massive non-compliance by free people.
The 2nd Amendment was not intended to guarantee your bird hunting, or for states to maintain militias. The 2nd Amendment was and is intended to guarantee an individual’s Right to protect his God-given Rights from abuse of government power under the color of authority.
Governments, like the State of Virginia in December 2019, that attempt disregard the 2nd Amendment to disarm their citizens do so only for the purpose of unlawfully controlling them by force. Politicians, like other criminals, do not want armed victims questioning their power to steal your money and property.
The Right there (in the 2nd Amendment) specified is that of ‘bearing arms for a lawful purpose.’ This is not a right granted by any government or the Constitution. Neither is it in any manner dependent upon that instrument for its existence. The 2nd Amendment declares that it shall not be infringed; but this, as has been seen, means no more than that it shall not be infringed by Congress. This is one of the amendments that has no other effect than to fully restrict the powers of the national government, leaving the people to look for their protection against any violation by their fellow- citizens of the Rights it recognizes, to what is called… the ‘powers which relate to merely municipal legislation, or what was, perhaps, more properly called internal police,’ [powers] ‘not surrendered or restrained’ by the Constitution of the United States.” — U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice Waite, writing in U.S. v. CRUICKSHANK, 92 U.S. 542 (1875)
“All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void.” Marbury v. Madison, 5 US (2 Cranch) 137, 174, 176, (1803)
“When rights secured by the Constitution are involved, there can be no rule making or legislation which would abrogate them.” Miranda v. Arizona, 384 US 436 p. 491.
“An unconstitutional act is not law; it confers no rights; it imposes no duties; affords no protection; it creates no office; it is in legal contemplation, as inoperative as though it had never been passed.” Norton v. Shelby County, 118 US 425 p. 442.
“The general rule is that an unconstitutional statute, though having the form and name of law, is in reality no law, but is wholly void, and ineffective for any purpose; since unconstitutionality dates from the time of it’s enactment, not merely from the date of the decision branding it. No one is bound to obey an unconstitutional law and no courts are bound to enforce it.” 16 Am Jur 2d, Sec 177, late 2d, Sec 256.
“The freemen of America did not wait until usurped power had strengthened itself by exercise, and entangled the question in precedents. They saw all the consequences in the principle, and they avoided the consequences by denying the principle.” – James Madison, 1785
“Precedents do not stop where they begin, but, however, narrow the path upon which they enter, they create for themselves a highway whereon they may wander with the utmost latitude .” —Velleius Paterculus, Roman historian, (19 BC-31 AD)
2nd AMENDMENT HOME DEFENSE
You’re sitting at home with your family, watching the latest movie. Your children are sprawled out on the couch, enthralled by the movie while you’re quietly typing on your computer—not accomplishing much, just happy to have the time to yourself after a long day at work. Your wife mentions it’s getting late, but the children complain. You promise they can stay until the end of the movie.
Suddenly, you hear the sound of glass breaking. Heavy footsteps and multiple voices come from the back door. Immediately, all color drains from your wife’s face, and every family member turns to you with wide eyes and fear on their face—what do you do?
It’s a frightening tale but is it likely? In the U.S. alone, there are more than 3.6 million house break-ins every year. That is almost 10,000 each day, 417 each hour, 7 each minute.
Hey, did you just hear that noise ???
The U.S. Department of Justice reports 38% of assaults and 60% of rapes are committed during a home invasion, with one home in every five likely to have a break-in or burglary. And despite a decrease in general crime, the FBI reports that burglaries are actually on the rise.
There are worse situations yet; when natural disaster strikes, or when civil unrest occurs, your home might be the only form of defense you have. Perhaps you have a family to protect, or perhaps you only want to protect yourself. Regardless, in the direst circumstance when even the government has collapsed, having a defensible home is an asset. Fifteen years ago, this might have sounded far-fetched but consider, what happened after Hurricane Katrina, and the absolute lawlessness that arose.
Remember one main point in any life threatening situation — When seconds matter, after you call 911 – the police are only 15 minutes away……
As a fast-shooting, close-range home defense weapon at ranges of around 50 feet, the shotgun is unmatched as a defensive weapon. A single shot inside the home can take down several adversaries, and the wounds from the many small pellets can be horrendous, a shotgun lacks the penetration to pierce through several walls and furniture, and poses substantially less collateral threat to the other occupants in a home or the neighbors.
The biggest advantage of any gun is that it can disable or kill an attacker at a distance from you before they can get their hands on you.
NO ONE HAS EVER REGRETTED BEING TOO WELL ARMED
Turning a handgun sideways, gangsta-style, is completely ineffective and foolish, because you negate that advantage by making its sights virtually impossible to use. Likewise, is putting a gun to someone’s head, where they just might be able to move out of the way and grab it away from you.
Whatever style of firearm you choose — learn how to use and store it safely — go to a gun store and sign up for some classes. You must also instruct your family how to use it and that it is not a toy to be played with.
